Frequently Asked Questions
Which audio formats are supported?
MP3, AAC, M4A, OGG, FLAC and WAV, convertible in any direction.
Can I extract audio from a video?
Yes. Upload an MP4, WebM, MOV or AVI file directly and pick an output format; only the audio track is kept.
What bitrate should I choose?
192–320 kbps for music, 96–128 kbps is fine for speech. Higher means better quality and a larger file.
Does converting to FLAC improve quality?
No. FLAC is lossless, so it preserves the source exactly. Converting a lossy file to FLAC makes it larger without improving quality.
Is "Auto" sample rate fine?
Usually yes. It keeps the original sample rate and avoids an unnecessary resampling step.
